Who should you trust?

There is so much advice out there - the internet is brilliant but there is so much information and advice that without some very vigilant self monitoring most of us could experience total overwhelm.

I doubt there is anyone out there who has not had their fingers burnt by individuals and companies that promise much but deliver very little.

All the little things matter

I was speaking at an event last week and at the end of the talk we had a question and answer session.  One of the questions was about networking; I had spoken about the huge benefits on so many levels of networking.

Coming home in 2011

Odd isn’t it that we think that the change of date will somehow mark a new beginning in the way any other day cannot do. We might look at the 31st of December and think tomorrow will be the start of something new. More good stuff or perhaps some good stuff at last. It’s the truth, honestly

We all like to feel we are honest in our dealings with others and are often outraged when others behave in anything less than worthy manner.  But I wonder how honest we actually are?

I sat and watched Cat on a hot tin roof with my daughter the other day, if you are unfamiliar with the film it revolves around a day in the life of one family and what they refer to as mendacity.  The film was made in the fifties so this is rather an old fashioned term but basically translated into modern language as dishonesty or lies. read more…
